WB*;
where to
position? |
The usual position is before any effect
in the signal chain. |
As close to the guitar's output as possible. (notice: Fuzz and
Wah) |
Fuzz;
WB
before or after
Fuzz? |
Our experience is that
WB works very well before a
Fuzz.
Wah; WB before or
after Wah? |
You
can try to connect
WB after this effect since some
Wah like a
high impedance signal. |
WB will
start
to do it's job after
the output of
the
Wah-Wah.
2 WB's;
I have two
WB's. Where
to position? |
The
first
WB should be connected immediately after the guitar
as first.
(notice: 1 WB) |
The second device is perfect after volume pedal in order to
eliminate bandwidth cut due |
to volume position,
and
before ambient or modulation effects.
Don't you use a volumepedal, than position
the second WB as last in chain before the amp's input. |
Buffer on buffer;
I do
have a pedal with integrated buffer (Boss, Maxon Reissue) |
Buffer on buffer;
With the use of a
WB I get 'buffer on buffer'.
Is this a
bad thing? |
WB is recommended not only for
True
Bypass
chains but also for buffered ones,
since |
internal buffers of various effects don't match the following
input circuit for level and impedance. |
Digital pedals;
Does the
WB have the same effect on analog
as
digital pedals? |
Yes. The most common feedback is "always new strings"-effect,
more stability |
and presence of bass notes, clearness
and
intelligibility
of
mid-high frequencies. |
Wireless;
WB
and wireless systems
recommended? |
WB
improves matching between guitar and input circuit of the
transmitter. |
FX-loop;
WB
in an
(low Z)
fx-loop? |
Level acceptance of
WB is enough
also for +4dB signals, even in this case
we |
recommend (not mandatory) 18V power supply. In this position
WB
can solve |
some impedance mismatches in hand-made or boutique amps, which
fx-loop
is |
not so standard as level and impedance.
Of
course, it's main use is on pedalboards.
Bassguitar;
WB recommended?
Yes, its bandwidth is perfect also for
bassguitar. |
For bass equipped with active pickups, we recommend an
18V external power |
supply
in order to avoid possible clipping of the
strongest notes (headroom). |
For passive pickups
there's certainly
no problem.
NOTE:
Experiment with the positioning of the WB in the signal chain. |
NOTE:
What's best is what sounds
best to you! |
