The GT-KT77-S sounds like an
EL34 with more headroom, like a BIG EL34. |

The GT-E34-LS
sounds a little scooped (modern). |
|
Both tubes are different in EQ, it makes you adapt
the Bass and Mid settings of your amp. |

That's no problem at all in a mono setup, but we
don't recommend mixing GT-E34-LS and |
|
GT-KT77-S in a stereo power amp. |
|

Warning: the JJ/Tesla
pre-production run had a bias issue in some cases. We were running
out of |
|
bias level adjustment.This known issue made JJ/Tesla
change the KT77s specs. The pre-production |
|
run is sold to customers by some stores, what is against JJ/Tesla's
agreement. |
|
There are absolutely no problems in todays production
runs, but be sure you get the good
ones. |

The GT-KT77-LS
has the same size and octal-socket as EL34. It is a perfect
replacement of |

an EL34 without any problems. Just be sure you bias, just you do after every powertube swapping. |
